With the rapid progress in technological innovation, IT services now touch virtually every aspect of people’s lives, and the role that IT plays in society is now seen as more important than ever before. Moreover, with corporate activities increasingly global and diversified, the effective use of IT is among the most critical challenges for many executives.
 In this environment, IT concepts, especially cloud computing, is gaining wide attention and has precipitated a new competitive landscape in IT industry. Meanwhile, the growing presence of IT companies in China, India, and other countries is fueling unprecedented competition on a global scale, potentially leading to a major industrial realignment.

Responding to this time of sweeping change, SCS has identified the medium-term business direction, and is pursuing initiatives to put the Company firmly on a medium-term growth track. These initiatives are underpinned by three particularly vital criteria: enhancing our business selection and concentration, improving the quality of IT services, and pursuing management practices that emphasize human talent and state-of-the-art technologies.
 To enhance our business selection and concentration, we will sort out our businesses based on unified criteria of the Company, and will allocate our management resources to key business areas to realize higher profitability and growth potential.
 To improve the quality of IT services, recognizing that the format of IT services has shifted on an industrywide scale from customized development to services, we will endeavor to enhance quality control, establish a technology standard that supports the cloud-oriented IT evolution, and develop IT professionals with excellent skills. We will also take steps to streamline our outsourced development processes, as part of our effort to improve operating quality.
 With respect to the people and technologies that constitute the basis of SCS’s business, we will continue to refine our training systems to promote managerial and global talent and develop sophisticated IT professionals. We will set up a specialized, horizontal structure to nurture the capabilities of employees from a companywide perspective. In addition, we will thoroughly enhance the working environment and provide settings to bolster the motivation of employees.

We strongly believe that full compliance is indispensable in ensuring sustainable growth. While we will implement the measures necessary for the robust compliance system, it is essential that all executives and employees of the SCS Group are firmly committed to ensuring there are no violations of compliance policies. In this respect as well, the entire SCS Group will remain dedicated to comprehensive compliance based on high ethical and moral standards.
